Antonio Sosa Pascual - Managing Director

Antonio is an MIT/UChicago trained investment strategist with over 11 years of experience in private equity and venture capital with a strong focus on technology strategy and distressed real estate investment. Antonio serves as REOF's lead in Financial Advisory and consulting engagements.

He leads REOF's Investor Relations efforts with high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and is very active in REOF's Deal Flow efforts. He considers himself a very strong communicator and a master net-worker. His focus is on deals and opportunities in: Information Technology, Software, Internet, Real Estate and Healthcare in the United States and Puerto Rico.

He began his private equity career in 2005 at an Advent International Affiliate. From 2005 to 2008, he consulted for global corporate venturing funds with Professor Josh Lerner from the Harvard Business School. He is the founder of REOF Capital LLC, a boutique investment management firm. He is also Partner and Vice-President of Impactivo Consulting, a leading health care management consulting firm.

At REOF, Antonio is currently building two new products within the real estate and early stage technology spaces. The real estate product will include Multifamily Class A properties mostly in the US mainland in the cities of Austin, TX, Houston, TX, Seattle, WA, San Diego, CA and Denver, CO and a smaller portion in single-family, hospitality and short-term vacation rentals in Puerto Rico. The early stage technology product focuses on the US Southeast, including Puerto Rico and is designed as an impact product with a strong focus on technology enabled services.

His core competencies are: strategy, technology strategy, leadership, managing and developing people, investor relations, communications/presentations (to various audiences), and being action-oriented. His leadership skills are: motivational ability, sociability oral communication, influence, confidence. He has strong analysis and strategic decision making skills: decisiveness, written communication, strategic thinking, critical thinking, quick thinking, quantitative analysis, comfortable with risk, and creative thinking.

One of his strongest skill sets and passion is dealing with management structures: delegating, action-orientation, and work-ethic. He truly loves building teams and managing people to achieve growth and success. Additional skill-sets are: enterprise control, theory development & research.

In 2008, Antonio graduated with an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management where he was awarded the Diversity Scholarship. He holds a B.A. from the University of Chicago, a diploma from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and an M.P.P. from the University of Michigan. He was awarded the Woodrow Wilson Fellowship for Public Policy and International Affairs where he met REOF's partner, Alejandro Badillo. 

Antonio has founded various companies and non-profits and served in government in the early part of his career. He is a Board Member and Treasurer of Nuestra Escuela a not-for-profit school serving at risk youth in Puerto Rico and Africa. In 2015-2016 he was a Committee Member of The University of Chicago - Class of 1996 - 20th Reunion Committee. He is also currently a mentor at Parallel 18 a Global Accelerator based in Puerto Rico.


Alejandro Badillo, M.P.P., J.D. - Managing Partner

Alejandro is REOF's lead corporate financial advisor in relation to Transaction Support and M&A Strategies. He also leads the Deal Flow pipeline team. Alejandro supports the elaboration of joint venture, exit strategies, MOUs, LOIs and complex negotiation consulting engagements. Alejandro performs proprietary due diligence and research in relation to early stage and technology companies and ecosystem activity in Puerto Rico and the US Southeast. He also provides support to the Asset Management Division, including the formulation of real estate strategy with a focus on wealth growth and property management services. He is also a consultant in compliance and regulatory matters and serves as an compliance advisor with respect to REOF's products and services.

Alejandro is a former transactional and corporate attorney that has advised clients in over 50 transactions with an excess in value of over $7 billion involving more than 200 parties in over 13 countries including Barbados, Ireland, Qatar, Ecuador, Argentina, Puerto Rico, United States, United Kingdom, Spain, Singapore, Netherlands, India, and Canada. During that time, Alejandro represented multiple entrepreneurs and emerging growth companies throughout the lifecycle that begins with raising capital and ends with the execution of an exit strategy, which typically is accomplished through a M&A transaction. 

From 2009 through 2015 he practiced law at Jones Day in Washington, DC as an Associate in the Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Department where his practice focused on mergers & acquisitions transactions (stock purchase, asset purchase and mergers), capital formation, venture capital and general corporate matters.  Other transactional work performed in relation to joint ventures, securities offerings and loan transactions.  Alejandro also represented clients in relation to commercial contracts, corporate governance and securities compliance. Alejandro also worked from 2005 to 2009 at Dickstein Shapiro LLP, in Washington, DC in the Corporate & Finance Department and from 2001 to June 2005 at Kelley Drye & Warren LLP, in New York, NY.

Alejandro received his B.A. at Haverford College, a M.P.P. at University of Michigan Ford School of Public Policy, and a J.D. at Columbia University School of Law. He is admitted to practice law in District of Columbia (2006), New York (2002) and New Jersey (2001).
